I’m in love! And she’s not my wife! She is sooo cute (my wife is cute, but in a different way). I love it when she climbs up in my lap and showers me with kisses. I love running my fingers through her short hair. Her name is Zailey.
I try not to fall in love with animals as I hate when they pass. Also, don’t get me wrong, I love my wife, Jynx, and Milo, but not in the same way as I love Zailey. If she had some better manners, I don’t know what would happen to my heart, then.
Zailey came into my life via an old friend of my wife posting pictures of their new blue heeler pups online. My wife and I both like blue heelers, but we had never had one before. I think we now regret getting one, but we can’t get rid of our precious Zailey.
When I first started writing, it was because I wanted to see my story written on the page instead of just in my head. It took me years to write that first novel. Partly because I wrote some short stories along the way. Mainly because I didn’t have time. I had work and other things keeping my interest. When I was done, I loved what I had written. The best part of writing is reading something once it is done. I wanted that high again, so I dove right into another novel. This time, I was armed with a work ethic and I now kind of knew what I was doing (I still don’t know exactly what I’m doing, but I learn more as I go along).
I love creating something from nothing. I guess that is also why I like writing computer code. Interesting enough (at least to me), a computer must interpret the code I write, while human brains must interpret the words that I write. Sometimes, I feel like computers understand me more, but then again, not always. I love it!
I love what I do and love coming home to Zailey at the end of the day (and my wife, Jynx, and Milo). I hope you love my stuff, too!
