The other day, I was sitting at the kitchen table working on publishing Whispers Within (more on that in a minute) when Jynx came over in between my wife’s two aloe plants. She thought he looked handsome and decided to snap some pictures. I had to move my laptop to accommodate her.

In one picture, it looks like Jynx is totally going “pbbt” with his tongue out like it was. We hadn’t noticed this live, so we laughed hard at seeing that picture. I mean, how could you not laugh at such a face.

So, back to publishing my novel. I certainly feel like this great weight has lifted finishing up the process for it to become public. I also feel a sense of accomplishment for publishing my eighth title. I enjoy writing, but my favorite part is reading the finished product. It’s also cool when a narrator reads the book to me (DW Draffin is on board to narrate this novel). I don’t know how many times I’ve done a double take and said, “I wrote that? That is so awesome!”

Anyway, my least favorite part of the process is marketing. I feel like I am boasting at times. Other times I feel like a sleezy con man or something. I guess I’m just not good at selling myself. While I have had some success this year, I still feel like I am just too shy to convince people that they will enjoy what I’ve written. I mean, I enjoyed reading it, shouldn’t everyone else?
